What is the difference between a HashMap and a Hashtable ?

One tells you how to get to a dutch coffe shop. The other is something you'll find when you get there

What is a cookie ?

We call them biscuits in the UK. My favorite is chocolate chip. They make a nice snack with a glass of milk
